Just about nine months!
What’s your favorite thing about fall?
Too many to list! Watching the leaves turn bright orange and red, the cooler (but not yet cold) weather, the way the earth smells, and carving Jack O’Lanterns around Halloween are some highlights.
What are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions?
Getting together with family and friends, helping get everything ready for dinner, and baking an apple pie.
What's your favorite food to eat at Thanksgiving dinner?
Stuffing, and/or anything with potatoes in it.
What's a good book to read this time of year?
The Widow’s Broom by Chris Van Allsburg. It was my favorite fall book as a child, and it gives the chilly autumn evenings some nostalgia even today.
What are you most thankful for this year?
My family for their unconditional love and support, my fellow staff members for welcoming me into the library, and our patrons for making me feel like a part of the Portland community!
